[Icc-avr] read and write i2c eeprom using twi?

I looked at the i2c routines in the examples library and they look like
bitbanged i2c on io lines rather than on the twi lines. I have ported jaako a.
p.'s 24cxx routines for 24c16 from winavr, but I have a microchip 24C515 64K
serial eeprom. Evidently, these larger roms use 2 byte addressing (seems
obvious). I've been fiddling with all this for days. Does any iccavr user have
routines to read and write an i2c/twi serial eeprom? Is there still an example
code forum on dragonsgate? (I'm getting the idea that i2c eeproms arent real
popular, given the lack of code for different roms and avrs)
