If you look at a variable that is defined
static var;
It seems it is a int by default. At least, If you load this code into Studio and Add this variable to your watch window, studio recognises it as an int.

Subject: [Icc-avr] static
Hi.
What happens if I just write static var; ?
I intended to write static char var; but missed to write char but the compiler didn't react.
Regards,
Bengt
